Discover 20+ Top Companies That Donate to Nonprofits
Corporate philanthropy and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs are easy ways for nonprofits to earn more revenue, but many charitable organizations are unaware of just how many corporate giving opportunities are available to them.
To help your nonprofit understand the scope of corporate donations, this guide will take a look at over 20 top companies that donate to nonprofits.
What are Corporate Donations?
Corporate donations are charitable contributions made by companies. Often these gifts are monetary, but they can take several forms, including:
- In-kind donations. Rather than donating funds for your nonprofit to spend on supplies, companies sometimes give nonprofits their products or services for free or at discounted rates. This could be a grocery store donating food to a food bank or a software company letting nonprofits use their products for free.
- Matching gifts. Many companies participate in philanthropy because they want to improve their reputation with customers and employees. Matching gifts allow employees to take a more active role in the corporate donation process by having them donate first. Then, their employer matches their gifts.
- Volunteer grants. Similar to matching gifts, volunteer grants are donations companies make to nonprofits where their employees volunteer. These provide nonprofits with more volunteers and revenue at the same time.
In addition to these, monetary donations also come in several forms, from sponsorships to grants to scholarships and more!

This grant is meant to help nonprofits that provide underrepresented communities with housing, workforce skill training, and economic development.
Target also has similar grant programs at the national and global levels, but these programs are invitation-only. 21. Deloitte
When it comes to matching gift programs, leading financial institution Deloitte is hard to beat. Along with matching up to $32,000 per employee per year, both full-time Deloitte employees and retirees are eligible to get their donations matched.
But where Deloitte really shines is its simplified matching gift process. Deloitte’s CSR software makes use of matching gift auto-submission technology. Some CSR platforms have partnerships with matching gift database providers (like Double the Donation!). By connecting their CSR software to leading matching gift software, employee donors who give to nonprofits that use 360MatchPro have the opportunity to have their matching gift request submitted for them.
This means Deloitte employees just need to fill out their initial donation form, hit a checkbox opting into auto-submission, and the matching gift process is completed for them. This dramatically streamlines the requesting process, increasing the total number of match requests and matched gifts.
